Restock OFF By Default

Prevent refunded products from being returned to inventory by accident.

What it does

Restock OFF By Default changes the default state of WooCommerce’s refund restocking option. When you issue a refund, products are not automatically selected to be returned to stock unless you intentionally choose to do so.

How it works

The app does not prevent you from restocking a refunded item. It simply changes the default choice. When a returned item really should go back into inventory, you can still enable restocking during the refund process.

Why this app is useful

A refund does not always mean that sellable inventory has physically returned to the store. If the restock option is selected automatically, a refund can increase WooCommerce stock even when there is nothing available to sell. This app makes the safer choice the default.
