Backorder Notice

Make backordered quantities obvious before the customer completes checkout.

What it does

Backorder Notice improves the visibility of products that can be purchased even though the required quantity is not currently in stock. It tells the customer how many units are backordered so availability is clearer before the order is placed.

How it works

If an item quantity exceeds the available stock but WooCommerce allows the product to be backordered, the app adds a clear notice showing the backordered amount. The notice is shown where it matters most – in the mini-cart and at checkout.

Why this app is useful

WooCommerce can allow a sale to continue when stock is insufficient, but customers may not immediately realize that part of the order is backordered. This small clarification can prevent misunderstandings before they become support requests.
